- The role we are looking for is that of an experienced Project Manager joining the Professional Services Team delivering a number of diverse projects. The individual must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to manage a number of projects concurrently and also work across all levels within the company. It also expected the individual be a PRINCE2 practitioner and also have solid skills in project planning and monitoring tools.
- Key Responsibilities and Activities:
- The project management role encompasses a number of key activities to include:
- To act as the focal point for communication between the customer and ABM.
- To develop and maintain good working relations and contacts with customers.
- To determine and co-ordinate internal resources within the Project.
- Identification, management and escalation of project risks and issues.
- Manage the timely delivery of service to the customer to agreed quality standards against the implementation timescales and/or contract requirements.
- Identify and manage variations to project or contract scope through formal Change Control.
- Manage the financial performance of the project, to include the provision of a cost model and informing ABM Finance of any variances and authorizing and monitoring business expense.
- To effectively report and provide project progress to the customer.

- ROLE: TEST ANALYST

- We have an exciting opportunity for a new Test Analyst to join the Software Assurance team. Providing testing support across the business you will be working with a range of bespoke software applications using both manual and automated testing techniques. The ideal candidate needs to be proactive, have excellent communication skills and the aptitude to quickly assimilate information. An ability to be adaptable and work on multiple tasks is also required.
- Key Responsibilities and Activities:
- Test Script production and execution (Manual & Automated)
- Regression testing (Manual & Automated)
- Investigation and replication of issues
- Logging issues and defect tracking
- Reporting of progress
- Participation in daily/review meetings
- Contribute to improvements of the test process
- Requirements:
- At least 18 months commercial experience as a Test Analyst, carrying out the full testing lifecycle.
- Exposure to software development methodologies, waterfall, agile etc
- ISEB/ISTQB qualifications would be advantageous
- Any exposure to automated and performance testing tools would also be advantageous.

- ROLE: SENIOR JAVA DEVELOPER

- The role we’re looking for is a Senior Java Developer who will join a team of 18 to work on our suite of Web based applications (see http://www.abmsoftware.com/abmpegasus and http://www.abmsoftware.com/intellicase). Ideally we’re looking for a Senior Developer who wants to step up to a Technical Architect role. In order to achieve this, the candidate must demonstrate they can look at current ways of working and technologies used and make recommendations to better our products. Therefore the individual must be confident and be able to communicate effectively. In addition, the individual will also have to mentor other staff.
- Requirements:
- The individual must have in-depth Java/J2EE experience, as well as exposure to JavaScript, Servlets, JSP, XML/XSLT, JDBC, Web Services, Spring, JUnit, Test driven development; Ant and Oracle (10g/11g) RDMS.
- Experience of developing applications to operate across a wide range of Application Servers is highly desirable; experience of JBoss, Tomcat, and Oracle 10g application server is desirable.
- Experience of AJAX, CVS, Eclipse, XMLSpy and Toad would be beneficial.
- Sun Java certification is highly desirable, however assistance will be given to successful candidates looking to progress their certification.
- The individual must be local to our Ruddington (South Nottinghamshire Office) i.e Nottingham, Derby or Leicester.
