    PRO-fit is a face composite system used by police forces to create facial images based on witness descriptions.
    The application includes a database of over 14,000 facial features that can be interchanged and manipulated to create a realistic facial image that can help law enforcement agencies to make appeals to the public for information about a suspect.
    The system has a number of advantages over other identification techniques including time and cost savings. Based on the accepted theory that we are better at recognising faces than recalling them, and that humans perceive faces in terms of meaningful patterns rather than individual features, PRO-fit presents the interviewer and witness with a complete face, allowing features to be selected in context with the overall image. This process is improved using the new Holistic-Cognitive interview.
    Additional modules allow even greater functionality:
    • PRO-morph: combining electronic composites of a suspect and creating animated composites for the media.
    • PRO-warp: to make fine adjustments to feature shapes/sizes.
    • PRO-fit paint: to adjust the image with a range of advanced 'paintbrushes'. Also contains the powerful 'feature' edit function (to directly edit facial features).
    • Actively feature blend: to give a highly realistic face.
    Facial composites produced by PRO-fit can help to:
