  • abmpegasus™ Intelligence Source Register
abmpegasus™ Intelligence Source Register (ISR) allows agencies to anonymise the origin of information, to allow dissemination within the agency.
The origin of material obtained during covert operations is protected by allocating a non-consecutive Unique Reference Number (URN) to each piece of information that is recorded. This allows information be disseminated without the end user knowing the origin of that information. This is important for ensuring that information is untainted by knowledge of its origin. The system also provides additional protection for the agency in event of the material being subject to disclosure during judicial proceedings.
Officers that need to know the provenance of a piece of information are able to use the URN to establish his/her identity and access an audit trial to see all that has been done in relation to that information. Advanced security controls ensure that such privileges are only available on a need-to-know basis.
When used in conjunction with other abmpegasus modules abmpegasus ISR can automatically identify instances where 'status drift' may have occurred, alerting an identified group when a pre-set number of contacts have been exceeded, thus assisting in compliance with legislative requirements including the UK's Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act (RIPA/RIP(S)A, 2000).
